Work for animals

There comes a time in everyone’s lives, when they decide to actively contribute towards the welfare of the less fortunate ones, be it animals or humans. For some it may be because of encouragement by a peer, for some it may be occasional like a birthday or death anniversary. For others it is an incident that is so powerful and eye opening that one gets drawn into charitable acts.

For me, it was this one time that one dog in our community was run over by a car and seeing the plight of that little dog just made me so emotional that I decided to give whatever I could spare and do as much as possible to improve the situation/existence of these little speechless souls.

Initially I was really afraid of dogs and apart from my pet, I never really had the courage to touch or stand around any other dog. However, after this incident I have become more and more empathetic towards animals. Additionally, I also foster pups when a need arises and currently, I have been fostering a paralysed dog for the last 3 years and taking care of her apart from my full time job. I provide first aid to the strays with much ease and keep motivating myself to help more. My only advice to the community is to understand the body language of a dog and this helps us to overcome the fear of strays from our mind.
